My favorite scenes were definitely in Fanny's house.

Cara found out several hidden secrets that pertained directly to her and some information was answered from Betrayal. I loved the Fairlights, lessons and learning about the crystals. When the magic kicked in, the story took a new turn and I couldn't stop reading the book. I must say that Cara was very bratty but she eventually mellowed out and loved reading the interactions between Cara and Fanny.

Once she did, she would be faced with a new world she never knew existed. Betrayed (book 2) picks up immediately where Betrayal (book 1) ends.Ĭara was faced with a monstrous creature that turned out to be Fanny and I wanted to know what Fanny was! I really enjoyed the uniqueness of her transformation and the description of her ghastly form, hair-raising head and the colorful, yet bloated face was great.Ĭara needed to get on board with Fanny's craziness or risk an unwelcome punishment.
